All applicants for a master study place in Business Administration, Economics, Health Economics, Information Systems, Political Science as well as Sociology and Social Research including our Double Master’s Programmes (DMP) must submit their application via this portal. Until 15 June 2020 you may interrupt editing your online application, save it and continue at a later date. Detailled information on the application and admission procedure can be found on the website of the WiSo Faculty as well as in our FAQs.
Application via uni-assist
Applicants who have not graduated in Germany must additionally apply online and by post via the uni-assist until 30 April 2020 (DMP) or 20 August 2020 at the latest. Please see our application via uni-assist section in our FAQs.
You can apply for up to three master's programmes, however, you will only be admitted to one of them. Once you have been admitted to a master's programme of our Faculty, your other preferences will not be taken into account anymore, even if there is a re-assignment. This also applies if you have applied for the M.Sc. in International Management (CEMS MIM).
Please make sure that your email account has at least 2 MB of free space and that your email address is valid until April 2021, as admission notices and initial enrolment information will only be sent to the email address provided in the portal.
Your application can only be considered and checked if it has been sent via this portal within the deadline and your details are complete and correct. To do this, go to My application --> Completion of application. After you have sent your application, it is not possible to change any information/preferences. Only the result of an admission test can be submitted until 20 August 2020. This does not apply to Double Master's Programmes applications; in this case, the test result must be submitted by 15 May 2020.
You find all necessary application documents at the website of the respective master programme: Master Business Administration, Master Economics, Master Health Economics, Master Information Systems, Master Political Science, Master Sociology and Social Research and Double Master's Programmes.
Admission criteria and selection process
Please inform yourself in advance about the general and subject-related admission criteria on the websites of the master's programmes (see previous links). Due to the large number of applications, a selection procedure is carried out in most master's programmes. In order to be able to participate in the respective study programme, the admission criteria must be met. Once we have received your application, we will review it and you will receive the result by e-mail, usually three weeks after sending the application. Then you will know whether you have been admitted to the selection procedure in your degree programme.
For the M.Sc. in Business Administratio and Economics the result of one of the following admission tests is part of the final scoring of the admission process:
- Business Administration: TM-WISO or GMAT
- Economics: TM-WISO or GMAT or GRE
The test result must be available by the application deadline. You are welcome to submit your application without test result and upload it later until 20 August 2020. Applicants who apply for the Double Master's Programmes have to submit their test result lastest until 15 May 2020.
