The selection process for fall 2018/2019 is closed. The admission results will be published here at 20th July. You can find an explanation about the calculation of the admission score in this pdf-document. The application period for fall 2019/2020 starts in April 2019.

Application Process

All applicants must submit their application for a master's or Double Master's Programmes (DMP) through this portal. Further important information about the application procedure can be found in our FAQs and on the website of the WiSo Faculty. Until 15 June 2018 (application deadline) you can interrupt working on your online application at any time and continue later.

Application via uni-assist
Applicants who have not graduated in Germany must additionally apply online and by post via the uni-assist application portal until 30 April (DMP) or 15 June at the latest. The result of your application will be forwarded to the WiSo-Faculty automatically. However, you have to make sure to submit your documents to uni-assist early as the processing time can take up to six weeks. Moreover, uni-assist charges a fee that has to be paid completely before the deadlines expire, otherwise your application will not be reviewed.

Application preferences
You can apply for up to three master's programmes, however, you will only be admitted to one of them. Once you have been admitted to a master's programme of our faculty, your other preferences will not be taken into account anymore, even if there is a second round of admissions for those. This also applies if you have applied for the M.Sc. in International Management (CEMS MIM).

Registration requirements
Please use an email account for your registration which is valid until January 2019 and has got at least 2 MB of free storage space as the letters of admission and first information about enrollment will only be sent to this email address.

Application requirements
Please note that we only accept correct and complete applications that have reached us through this portal before the application deadline. See "My application" --> "Submission of application". Applications that contain incorrect information or have not been completed will not be considered. After you have submitted the application you can no longer change entries or upload further documents except for the result of an admission test. The latter does not apply to DMP applicants. You find all necessary application documents at the website of the respective master programme: Master Business Administration, Master Economics, Master Health Economics, Master Information Systems, Master Political Science, Master Sociology and Social Research and Double Master's Programmes.

Admission criteria and selection process
Submitted applications will be reviewed by the admissions committee with regard to the general as well as the specific eligibility criteria. All of those need to be fulfilled in order to be considered in the further admission process. Before you apply, please read the information on the admission criteria on our website. If you have received a positive notification about your eligibility (usually three weeks after submitting the application), you will be considered in the further selection process. As there are usually more applicants than study places available, it is likely that there is a selection procedure. You may also contact the Admissions Office if you have further questions (

Admission test
For the M.Sc. in Business Administration and in Economics the result of one of the following admission tests is part of the final scoring of the admission process: TM-WISO, GMAT or GRE. The GRE will only be considered for the master's programme in Economics. Please read the FAQ and visit our website for more information on how to submit the test results.
